I read the article and watched the video during class today. To be honest I am really not interested in this type of art and the video was hard to pay much attention to. I am more interested in the type of work which is useful/teaches for some purpose or otherwise holds a lot of beauty. In my opinion this video held neither qualities. On a higher note it does look like a lot of time and energy was put into this video, in some ways its actually funny...

Sound Artist

The sound artist I did some research on was John Cage. He was born in 1912 and passed in 1952. Really the reason I chose him was because his name sounded like johnny cage of mortal combat so I just went with it. He was influenced by buddism and asian culture was a writer and philosopher and practiced other arts

Video

The video Im writing about was titled "I will follow you into the dark." This was produced by Monmus and features the story of a bunny and to be honest is quite depressing. Even the soundtrack was kinda a downer n the bunny dies. I think it was interesting to watch though as the whole storyline was layed out in picturebook form using the song in a way to tell the story.
